Shenyang Shipyards (R1)

(R2S.01) SHENYANG ORBITAL DEMONSTRATION PLATFORM (ODP) The Shengyang executives were pleased, but not entirely satisfied, with the sales of their F7 fighter and were constantly looking for ways to increase sales. One day a group of engineers who worked on the F7 suggested they could produce fighters based on the two, three and four place shuttles. The suggestion was quickly approved and the engineers began work on the project. At the same time they began a search for a way to base them for demonstration purposes. One idea was to use an old Operational Auxiliary. This would require extensive modifications, which included replacing the old warp engines which were beyond repair and the imimpulse engines with APRs,replacing the original Phaser-I with type A-Drone racks so that the fighters .could demonstrate their ability to handle drones in a simulated combat situtation. Cargo holds were to be converted to shuttle bays. They were going to use three of their salvage tugs to tow it out to the minor planet Erist. Even though none of the Allies had been able to operate the three and four place bombers from a mobile base the engineers felt they could do it anyway. Further studie proved them wrong, and the project was dropped.

(R2S.02) SHENYANG PLANETARY DEMONSTRATION COMPLEX (PDC) Once it was discovered that they could not operate the larger three and four place fighters/bombers from anything but a ground base, they began the process of building a Planetary Demonstration Complex. The complex was composed of a cluster of six ground bases. They were a Heavy Bomber Base, a Medium Bomber base, a Medium Fighter base, a Small Fighter base, and 2 Missile bases. The complex, which was on Erist, took 2 years to build. In addition to the F-7 the complex also operated F-27s a two space fighter, F-37 a three space fighter, and F-47 a four space fighter.

Shengyang Fighters.
F-7 was the single space fighter presented in Module J2.
F-7

F-27 This was a two space fighter built on the frame of an HTS. As was the case with both the F-7 and the F-27 carried a pair of Phaser-III's in a 360° mount. It carried two type-I drones in addition to the two type-VI drone. AS was the case of the F-7 it could be fitted with warp booster packs and had two pod rails. It is available in Y182.
F-27

F-37 This was a three space fighter/bomber built on the frame of an HFS. Like its smaller counter parts it carried a pair of Phaser-III's in a 360° mount. Additionally a phaser-II was mounted in the rear with a RX firing arc. This was installed because the planners felt it might be vunerable to attacks from the rear by enemy fighters. Its larger size allowed it to carry four type-I drones as well as two type-VI drones. It could be fitted with warp booster packs and had two pod rails. It is available in Y182.
F-37

F-47 This was a four space fighter/bomber built on the frame of an VFS. Like its smaller counter parts it carried a pair of Phaser-III's in a 360° mount.Additionally as was done with F-37 a phaser-II was mounted in the rear with a RX firing arc. Its huge frame allowed it to carry four type-I drones as well as four type-VI drones. It could be fitted with warp booster packs and had two pod rails. It is available in Y182.
